Children's Portraits 53-54 - Mila & Zenzi

Wow, I was so enveloped in new bebe world with my daughter that I forgot to post these paintings I did last year! So these sisters are African American and Chinese. They are super sweet, smart, kind, and beautiful. And their parents are friends of the family.

Childen's portrait 41-42 - Rex and Ivy

Children's portrait 19-Untitled (soccer/dragon)

This little dude was painted real quick, under the gun of Christmas. I was told he liked dragons and soccer so this is what I painted. His family is from northern Europe and his dad asked that his name not be mentioned, so just enjoy the painting.

Children's Portraits-The 1st year

This is the first year of children's portraits. I originally got the idea to do these last year around this time. I painted a portrait of my son, and made a short video about it. What started as an idea for mini murals and "some" portraits turned into a lot of portraits and hardly any murals (I'm still open to the murals if any parents wish to commission one).It has been incredible to paint such beautiful little ones from teenagers to new borns. Shout out to Krea for planting the seed and for spreading the word. Thank you to all the folks who have mentioned it, reblogged it, or sent the word to their friends. With each parent I connect with, I talk to them about self publishing and my first children's book, which I will need plenty of support on. Soon! Until then, let folks know I'm still taking commissions for these portraits. These are not all the portraits that were painted, but some of the best!

Children's portrait 15- Aaron & Lolo Omy

This week I finished a portrait of this little one named Aaron and his lolo (grand father) Omy. The boy's mom is an old friend/co-worker from my SF youth organizing days. Usually I just paint the kids, but the momma wanted to show Grandpa too.

Childrens Portrait 14-Eric

This is probably the eldest of all the kids I've painted as this young man just graduated high school. From what I hear he's 18, likes blue, and looks like a handsome young dude. I put the more graff type handstyles just because he's nearly a grown up, teens usually like that. Just delivered this today.

Childrens Portrait #12 and 13- Tyson and Oscar

This is a surprise fathers day gift from a mom to a father. These two lilttle ones are from my son's school. Very cutre kids. Love the contrast in their expressions. Tyson (left) was mugging way hard so I softened his smile a bit. The boys are a Western European mix as their mom told me and I believe they are 7 and 4. If you're interested in getting a portrait of a child you know gimme a holler.

This one was pretty easy seeing as his mama is such a great photographer. Hey and if you need family photos of your teens, your newborn, or your entire clan holler at Ashley Flores Machado because she got them joints on lock, seriously.

This is such a cute little boy, his eyes are captivating and i love the curly hair.  Temo! This one doesn't show the hair off as much, but i liked the pose the most. He is two years old I think and is of Mexican decent I believe. Can't wait to meet him.

For those of you still getting hip to the hop, I'm doing a series of portraits of children from all ages and backgrounds. And yes you can have one with more than one child. Holler.

This one is for my cousin's little boy Alec, who is about to turn 2 this year. He's half African American, half Mexican and he's got some beautiful eyes. More children's portraits on the way.

Children's Painting 1-Joaquin

This cute little boy is Joaquin. He's about 7 i think. Hes one of my sons classmates at school and his parents won this painting in an auction last spring. Its taken me forever to finish, but the design and it's contents are mostly his ideas. He writes and draw cool little stories about legos and wanted something related to flying or aeronautics. So, I made him look a bit older and put a space suit on him.
Hopefully this will be the first of many large paintings/and/or mini murals. The portraits have been fun! Especially for the little ones, now if you know someone who wants a small mural or large painting like this for their child's bedroom, a local library, school, daycare, playground, hospital, museum, etc. You get the point.
 

Childrens Portrait #5- DeAndre

DeAnre's mom was nice enough to hit me up for a portrait of her boy (Thank you Krea and Tyra!). He looks very young in these pictures, but I'm told that he's a teenager now. His mixture is African and European American. And he loves Brazilian Capoeira, hence the blue, yellow, and green on the first one. Check out the process and let me know what you think. Childrens Portrait #3-Maria

This is Maria, she's a cute little girl from Richmond California, I'm not sure how old she is now but I'm guessing 5 or 6. She is Polish, Irish, and English and her favorite colors are red, green, and white. Big thanks to her momma Joanna for letting me paint her. If you are just catching this new series, this is going to be an on going series of small paintings; portraits of children from all ages and many backgrounds. Childrens Portrait #2- Mia

Hello everyone, this is Mia. She's a cute lil one from Berkeley California (I believe) who comes from many cultures, Filipina, Mexican, German, and Irish. Her favorite colors are purple, green, and blue. And her momma Nikki commissioned me to paint her this week. I've known Nikki since , hella long. Can't wait to meet this lil girl.
